ويذكر ان ” ابو الحسن الهاشمي القرشي”، عُين كزعيم للتنظيم في مارس الماضي ، عقب مقتل الزعيم الأسبق “ابو ابراهيم القرشي” ، في عملية عسكرية أميركية شمالي سوريا، أعلن عنها الرئيس الأميركي جو بايدن.
وأكد بايدن حينها أنّ “عملية لقوات خاصة أميركية لمكافحة الإرهاب في شمال غرب سوريا استهدف زعيم ” داعش” المزعوم الذي كان مسؤولاً عن الهجمات في شمالي العراق وشمالي سوريا بينهما سجن لعناصر التنظيم”.
وأعلن تنظيم “داعش” تعيين أبو “إبراهيم القرشي” زعيماً للتنظيم خلفاً لـ”أبو بكر البغدا”، الءي قتل في هجوم امريكي في أكتوبر 2019.
